A Letter from Pastor Peter Tan-chi
To my dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
Through the years, God has blessed CCF in so many ways. From our humble beginnings as a small Bible study group meeting in houses, the Lord has caused phenomenal growth.
Our sphere of influence has expanded to various sectors of society. We have multiplied outreach churches in Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao, and upon international shores. We have hurdled many obstacles along the way with God as our source of strength, wisdom, and grace.
Our growth is anchored on prayer, God’s Word, God’s Spirit and intentional discipleship in small groups, with godly men and women committing themselves to making committed followers of our Lord Jesus Christ.
There is so much more that needs to be done. It can even be said that we have only just begun! People who need to be evangelized and discipled continue to pour into CCF. Already, there is a shortage of leaders who could minister to and disciple new believers. The growth in the number of our leaders simply is not keeping up with the harvest of souls.
Today, CCF is on the threshold of something crucial.
The Lord has led us to embark on a new path to meet the challenge of building leaders. We envision this new venture as a means of not only to build leaders within CCF, but also to bless other people and other churches in the Philippines and worldwide. Ultimately, this initiative will be part of the new CCF Worship and Training Center.
We will be launching our GLOBAL LEADERSHIP CENTER (GLC) — a training center designed to equip believers with the knowledge, character, and skills to become effective leaders for the glory of God. I urge you to actively support this endeavor by going through our leadership programs. GLC classes [began] on June 18, 2008, and we encourage you to enroll and become better equipped as a leader and servant of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Let us all pray for this new challenge. Our leaders for tomorrow will be made today through CCF’s own Global Leadership Center.
In His Name,
Pastor Peter Tan-chi
